Dr Debashis Deb is a senior consultant surgeon based in Kolkata since last 24 years. Dr Debashis Deb received his surgical training mainly at AIIMS, New Delhi. Following a short stint in Delhi he joined IPGMER, Kolkata as a Pool Officer of CSIR and conducted clinical research on Thyroid cancers over and above to performing complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic and oesophageal surgeries. He performed many firsts in General Surgery department of IPGMER. For a short period he taught surgery in KPC Medical College.

He is a life member of Indian medical association( IMA) and association of surgeons of India (ASI) and Obesity surgery society of india(OSSI) and Indian Association of Gastrintestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES)

Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, eg. Colorectal, Bariatric, and repair of complex hernias and Laser surgery for Piles, Fistula and Fissure are now his areas of interest. He is available in KD Cure, 52 Jodhpur Park, which is his preferred consultation room apart from RG Stone Hospital (10 am - 12 noon) and Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra ( 12 noon - 1 pm).
